The International Society for Life Sciences is a non-profit organization of individuals, institutions and corporations. The society is dedicated to the development of life sciences for human welfare and environmental applications. It promotes the international exchange of knowledge in the field of life sciences research and technology.
The society provides a forum to for the discussion of Scientific, Clinical, Social, Legal and Veterinary knowledge on all aspects of Life Sciences. The forum brings together scientists, engineers and managers from a broad range of disciplines with common interests. The primary activities of the ISLS include organizing international/national conferences/symposiums/seminars and workshops, as well as distributing publications.
To better our world, its ecosystems, and inhabitants, by creating an international community that advances and integrates all experts of life sciences into action. To work towards to become an influential contributor of scientifically credible and technically sound information with regard to life science, health and technology in international communities.
The International Society for Life Sciences (ISLS) works to meet the basic needs of human welfare viz. Public health, Environmental protection and Sustainable development. ISLS encourages the open discussions, exchange of information, provides opportunities for career development, acknowledges and promotes excellence and believes in the principle of good practices of research and development pertinent to all aspects of Life Sciences through a global community of Life Sciences professionals. Our Goals and Objectives The society now has members employed by academia, government and industry, from different parts of the world and maintains its head office in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India to coordinate its activities. The ISLS executive welcomes any advice and suggestion in regards to the society's operation and development. Your input is crucial for achieving the goal. The goals of the society are:- a) To provide a forum for the discussion of Scientific, Clinical, Social, Legal and Veterinary knowledge on all aspects of Life Sciences. b) To facilitate exchange of knowledge and ideas in the emerging area of life sciences through Seminars, Workshops, Conferences and Meetings held from time to time. c) To approve/promote establishments of forums, hospitals, units, chapter in different geographical locations. d) To maintain fellow and fraternity amongst the members of the society by promoting social and cultural association amongst themselves and also institute the awards/fellowships as incentive/support. To foster the collaborations among the members and the institutions of Government and public for scientific and academic purposes. e) To promote the growth of the all discipline of Life Sciences. f) To maintain benevolent fund to help individual member of the society and students in case of distress. g) To prepare, print and publish papers, periodicals, monographs and books, to organize libraries, references and information system, processing centers, laboratory analysis, demonstration and common services relevant and necessary for further enhance the objectives of society. h) To revive, strengthen, sponsor and open education institution and take step for Imparting Education, computer education, Illiteracy eradication, Research & training in information technology and alternative energy sources and spread consciousness for Literacy and Anti-Intoxication. i) To conduct programs for skill development, health awareness for malnutrition, child and women welfare, rural & tribal development & population control. j) To Catalyze Agro Industrial growth, conservation of Environment & Natural Resources. k) To do all such things as may be deemed incidental or conducive to the attainment of the foregoing objects. Background In 2010, an international conference was organized by Centre for Advanced Studies in Zoology, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur and S. K. Government PG College, Sikar (India) in Jaipur and this meeting was attended by about 300 delegates from Canada, United States, Great Britain, Russia, Germany, Japan, Iran and India. In this small session an inspiration was received from free exchange of scientific information. The group including basic life sciences researchers, clinicians, clinical pathologists, chemists, earth scientists and sociologists were motivated and highly interested in the study of different aspects of Life Sciences. They were also determined to offer education and new benefits to all concerned thus Indian Society for Life Sciences (ISLS) was founded by 18 fellows, on November 16th, 2010. Fellows voted to have the Jaipur City meetings (ICMADRH-2010) designated as the First Congress of the Indian Society for Life Sciences (ISLS) and Prof. Ashok Kumar as its first president. The Indian Society for Life Sciences was initiated with an aim to provide a scientific foundation for solving urgent problems in human diseases, energy and global climate changes. The ISLS's objective was to provide for the exchange of scientific knowledge in all areas of life sciences.
